The Discreet Way
To Straighten Teeth

Invisalign is a series of clear, removable dental aligners we use to straighten your teeth and correct complex bite alignment.

Each aligner gradually shifts your teeth into the desired position according to the custom-made smile design we make for you.

  • Invisalign aligners are made from clear plastic, which makes them virtually invisible when worn, and therefore a more discreet option than traditional braces.

  • Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating and cleaning, making them more convenient and easier to maintain good oral hygiene.

  • Invisalign aligners are made from smooth plastic, which is less likely to irritate the mouth than metal brackets and wires.

  • We use invisalign as a tool to effectively correct a wide range of dental issues, including crooked teeth, overbites, underbites, open bites, and gaps between teeth.

  • Using advanced 3D imaging technology, we design your smile with Invisalign’s Clincheck software. The software allows us to show you expected results before treatment even begins.

Invisalign Frequently Asked Questions

  • Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that uses clear, plastic aligners to straighten your teeth.

These aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth and are virtually invisible when worn.

  • A consultation with us begins the process, during which your teeth will be examined and a custom treatment plan will be developed for you to achieve your desired smile.

You will be fitted with a series of custom-made aligners that you will wear for about 20-22 hours per day.

Your in-office appointments will be about every 12 weeks to check on your progress and receive your next set of aligners.

As you progress through the treatment, the aligners will gradually shift your teeth into their proper position.

Once treatment is complete, we make you retainers to maintain your teeth straight for life.

  • Attachments provide retention and support for your Invisalign aligners and allow for more efficient and predictable tooth movements to ensure treatment progresses properly.

They are placed on many of your teeth and are tooth-colored for optimal aesthetics during treatment.

Attachments are removed once your Invisalign treatment is complete.

  • Our goal is to customize your treatment to fit your lifestyle and remain as flexible as possible without affecting the quality of your care.

If you are a model, in the entertainment industry, or have another high-profile career, we can certainly treat you with Invisalign without attachments on your front teeth so they do not show when you smile.

In some cases, this strategy may prolong your treatment, but it is better than the alternative of braces or leaving your teeth in their current state.

  • This is a valid concern for some people.

We offer Virtual Care Monitoring, at no additional cost to you, to track your treatment progress in between your in-person appointments.

This system allows us to follow-up with your care and provide ongoing support and motivation in the most convenient way for you.

We are here to be your guide. Your success is our success.

  • The only way to determine this definitively is with an in-person teeth and bite evaluation with Dr. G.

Generally, teeth are straightened with Invisalign (or braces), and the bite is corrected with rubber bands (elastics) that hook onto the Invisalign aligners (check out our instructional videos demonstrating these topics on our social media profiles).

While rubber bands are the most common way to shift and correct bite alignment, there are other options to do so that could include expanders or jaw surgery in conjunction with orthodontic treatment.

Proper diagnosis during an in-person consultation is required for us to confidently inform you of our recommendations.

  • The length of Invisalign treatment varies depending on your individual case, but most people can expect to wear aligners for about 1 - 2 years.

  • In our experience, Invisalign is a fantastic choice for about 80% - 90% of people who want to straighten their teeth discreetly and without braces.

We will determine if Invisalign is a good option for you based on the specifics of your case and your overall treatment goals during an in-person consultation.

  • Some people may experience minor discomfort when they first start wearing Invisalign aligners, but this is usually short-lived.

Many people who have had braces treatment in the past find Invisalign to be more comfortable, including Dr. G.

  • Patient's of almost any age can be treated with Invisalign, ranging from age 7 to over 75.

We prefer to work with patients who are at least 12 years old.

We specialize in caring for adult professionals, as our practice and treatment systems were created to compliment busy lifestyles.

  • The cost of Invisalign treatment varies for each individual based on their unique dental needs and treatment goals.

To provide an accurate estimate, we offer a complimentary in-person consultation.

This allows us to thoroughly assess your specific situation and develop a customized treatment plan.

At Jet Boutique Orthodontics, we believe in personalized care and want to ensure you feel the full value of our expertise.

  • No.

Depending on the specifics of your case and your status during treatment, we will either have you wear the next aligner set for an additional period of time, or we will order you new aligners at no additional cost.

  • We guarantee your treatment for three years from the time you start Invisalign with us, no questions asked.

To further protect your investment, we offer two additional guarantees: 1) Five years from the time you start Invisalign, and 2) one-time beyond five years from your initial start date.

We never want you to say, "My teeth used to be straight, but my teeth shifted because I stopped wearing my retainers and I don't want to pay for treatment again."

We want you to be happy with your smile for the long-term.

  • No.

And if we determine it is a good idea for your wisdom teeth to be removed, you can always do this during your Invisalign treatment.

Wisdom teeth removal will have no negative impact on your Invisalign treatment or the fit of your aligners.

  • You should remove the aligners when eating food.

Generally, they can remain in place while drinking liquids, but be sure to ask our team to elaborate on this rule.

Invisalign is meant to be easy and blend in almost seamlessly with your lifestyle.

  • Invisalign's plastic aligners are resistant to staining.

Even slight discoloration of the aligners are not noticeable when they are being worn.

We will share aligner cleaning tips and tricks that will help you maintain the aesthetic appearance of your aligners for as long as possible.

Aligners are replaced every 7 - 14 days during active treatment, so even if there is slight staining of your aligners, it is short-lived.

  • You should brush your aligners daily with a toothbrush, toothpaste and lukewarm water to remove any food particles or plaque.

It is important to keep the aligners clean to prevent tooth decay and bad breath.

  • Yes.

But we generally wait until after treatment is complete to prescribe teeth whitening.

  • We recommend brushing the aligner while they are still in your mouth for a more thorough and easier way of cleaning them.

The aligners can then be removed to brush the inside portion.

You can then brush your actual teeth to ensure proper hygiene.

  • Smoking is not recommended while wearing Invisalign aligners, as the aligners can yellow or become discolored from exposure to tobacco smoke.

This also harms the health of the gum and bone tissues that support the teeth, which could lead to loose teeth.

  • It is important to continue to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would while wearing Invisalign aligners.

You should remove the aligners to brush and floss your teeth and then reinsert the aligners after you have finished.

If you do not have access to a toothbrush in public or after eating, simply swish your mouth with drinking water and reinsert the aligners.

It is more important to wear your aligners for the appropriate amount of time per day than to avoid wearing them because of not being able to brush them.

  • Yes! In fact, we recommend it for most low-contact sports.

We may suggest wearing a mouthguard to protect your teeth and aligners if playing high-contact sports.

  • Absolutely. And we recommend it.

Aligners should only be removed to eat and brush. If not doing one of these two things, the aligners should be worn full-time to effectively straighten the teeth.

  • Yes.

It is also a good idea to bring an extra set of aligners in case of loss or damage to your current set.

  • Invisalign aligners are made of a medical-grade plastic called SmartTrack, which is generally well-tolerated by most people.

However, if you have allergies or sensitivities to plastic, you should discuss this with us before starting treatment.

If allergic, we will ask Invisalign to make/remake the aligners removing any irritants during the manufacturing process.

  • Invisalign aligners are designed to move your teeth, even those that have dental work such as crowns.

We will determine if Invisalign is a suitable treatment option for you based on the specifics of your case.

  • Yes, but we will have to work closely with a periodontist specialist for comprehensive treatment.

Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is a serious condition that can affect your oral health.

We will determine if Invisalign is a suitable treatment option for you based on the specifics of your case and the severity of your gum disease.

Sometimes moving teeth into their appropriate position with Invisalign can actually improve your periodontal condition.

Your overall health is our priority.
